I love old things. In fact, there are far more "old" things in my home than new... there's just an authenticity about something worn and previously loved - I think having a little time under its belt can make something more valuable (and meaningful).
Since "The Little Things" is all about...well, the little things, I thought we could celebrate some little things that have inspired me recently! I love scouring estate and garage sales looking for treasures {my heart just races at the thought of snatching a good deal}. Here are a couple of my favorite "winnings" grouped together.
A lovely, faded globe (don't you just adore the colors?) and a PAUSING DEPT. desk nameplate. I have no clue what the PAUSING DEPT. is, but it was $5 and I just had to have it. I really love the way the globe and nameplate look coupled with a World Atlas my mother gave me. Alone, the three pieces look like they could be leftover junk from a classroom. Together, they make a wonderful side table display, rich in interest {and geographical knowledge}.
This makes me happy.
