Want a Halloween decoration that will be eye-catching without being "themey"? Try making your own glittery styrofoam balls to display in a large vase or apothecary jar! We made a batch in less than half an hour, and we think they'll look great on any table during our upcoming Halloween soiree! If you're "following along", this is an easy decoration to make and use as a centerpiece or accent on a food table.
various sizes of syrofoam balls
black paint (I used leftover black house paint I had on hand)
black glitter ( I got mine from Michaels, but I ended up buying WAY more than I wanted)
a small sponge brush
Using the sponge brush, paint the styrofoam balls (as much as you can). While still wet, sprinkle with black glitter and set aside to dry. When dry to the touch, fill in the holes with paint and repeat the glittering process.
