For those of you "following along"... what better way to welcome your Halloween Dinner Party guests that with a bewitching door sign? I found this frame at an estate sale for $2, painted it black with spray paint, and then prepped it to hang on the front door Halloween night.
a wooden frame (mine was approximately 8x10), painted black, plus the cardboard "backing" for the frame
striped adult stockings (from any Halloween costume supply store)
a glue gun
tacking nails and hammer
cardstock printout (click here to download one for FREE) and paper trimmer
Trim the striped stocking to manageable size (approximately half of one of the "legs"). Carefully stretch the stocking over the cardboard backing for the frame, trying to keep it even on both sides without tearing the nylon. Use a glue gun to keep the stocking in place on the cardboard.
Using the tack nails and a hammer, affix the orange ribbon to the back of the frame
Download and print out the "Come in my Little Pretties" sign, Download My little pretties, adjusting the size as needed to fit your frame. Trim to size with a paper trimmer:
